Shocked!I've found out today that one of my Heroes has died.
Mike Turner has died aged 37 from Cancer.
To say I'm gutted doesn't really do it justice. When I was in school a bunch of kids found out I still read comics and picked on me for it. So I stopped reading them.
Then at 16 I went to college and was introduced to Witchblade by my friend Gav. I instantly fell in love with the art and hoped to one day be as good as the artist- Michael Turner.
Mikes art was what really got me back in to comics and inspired me to want to be a comic artist myself, maybe oneday setting up my own company. He basically put me on the path I'm on today and i thank him for it.
I'm 27 now and still love his work. He was amazing and his use of proportion was sooooo good.
Please check out the Aspen comics website if you get a chance. It's well worth it.
Not like me to get all sentimental.

i'm still so sad about this for you hunni, i know how devastated you must have been. but like i said, he was a massive part of your life and always will be so it's not silly for you to be upset at all.
keep at your art, keep doing amazing things with it and i know one day you'll be a massive star who inspires other kids around the world to not be ashamed of who they are and what they love.
